The Domaine Rogha Crois estate was founded in 1998 by David and Lyn Crossley.

Uniquely positioned on the Lake George escarpment to the east of Canberra, this special site was selected for its strategic blend of climatic, geographic and geological attributes necessary for the production of premium cool climate fruit. It is now home to a mature hand-tended vineyard specialising in pinot noir and pinot gris.

Whilst the Canberra District is internationally recognised for its quality cool climate shiraz and riesling, we have long believed in the potential for certain areas within the District to produce world class pinot noir and pinot gris. During the 1970’s Dr Edgar Riek, from his Lake George vineyard, pioneered the character-filled and age-worthy expressions of pinot noir capable of being produced in the region. A select handful of others have since followed to showcase this unique style.

Inspired to build upon these foundations, we established Domaine Rogha Crois with a singular objective – to create an exclusive range of classically styled food-friendly wines; wines that would show varietal integrity and yet proudly reflect their place of origin. Central to our philosophy is a belief in the importance of “terroir” – that magical convergence of the many elements contributing to a wine’s unique character – and in the maxim that “good wine is made first in the vineyard”.

Domaine Rogha Crois is already well known for its exacting viticultural standards and for its pristine fruit. Following 10 years as growers of premium fruit for other labels we now offer our own range of quality wines. These wines are testament to our philosophy; they are expressive wines that will reward patient cellaring and, like the classics, will stand the test of time. Already they are being recognised and highly rated by some of Australia’s top wine critics.

In water one sees one’s face;
But in wine one beholds the heart of another.
